Segments of Faunce Corner Road — between Route 6 and Cross Road — will be temporarily closed overnight to vehicular traffic from Monday, August 28, through Friday, September 15.

The closures are scheduled between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for final roadway paving and line stripping, according to the state Department of Transportation officials.

There will be no work scheduled for Labor Day weekend, September 1 through September 4. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times during business operating hours.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted should any sort of emergency situation occur.

MassDOT advises motorists to seek alternate routes during these times. Detour routes are as follows:

Traveling on Route 6 westbound:

Continue on Route 6 westbound, past Faunce Corner Road, to Cross Road. Turn right onto Cross Road. Follow Cross Road until it intersects with Faunce Corner Road.

Traveling on Route 6 eastbound:

Turn left onto Cross Road. Follow Cross Road until it intersects with Faunce Corner Road.

Traveling south on Faunce Corner Road:

Turn right onto Cross Road. Follow Cross Road until it intersects with Route 6.

Traveling north on Faunce Corner Road:

Turn left onto Cross Road. Follow Cross Road until it intersects with Route 6.
