Pajama Day at Potter School celebrates good behavior
Dec 14, 2016
Students at Potter Elementary School enjoyed a day of learning in their PJ’s as the school hosted a Pajama Day on December 14.
As part of the school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program to reward positive behavior, students can be awarded “Catch Me at My Best” slips by teachers and staff members. They are awarded whenever students are caught doing good by abiding by the school-wide expectations, such as following directions promptly and being on time and prepared, said assistant principal Rick Porter.
The school hosts annual celebrations if students can rack up enough slips. For the pajama day, students surpassed the required 500 slips to unlock the event.
