Paskamansett Bird Club to discuss grassland birds

Apr 26, 2017

The Paskamansett Bird Club’s will meet next on May 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Friends Meetinghouse.

Lauren Miller-Donnelly, the club president, will lead a discussion on grassland birds, which are declining rapidly. The South Coast is one of the last strongholds of open habitats for these birds in the state.

Miller-Donnelly is the property manager for Mass Audubon’s Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary. She supervised a New England-wide survey of grassland birds in 2015, and uses her expertise to help land owners manage grassland birds.

The meeting is open to the public, free, and accessible. The meetinghouse is located at 739 Horseneck Road.
