Patricia M. (Ormonde) Taylor, 82
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Francisco Ormonde and Ermelinda (Sylvia) Ormonde Starkie, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life before moving to Dartmouth 22 years ago.
Patricia served the community of New Bedford in so many ways throughout her life in her careers and most recently was employed as a resident services coordinator for the Inter-Church Council. Prior to that she was a Management Clerk for the New Bedford Housing Authority.
She was an accomplished artist, specializing in oil painting. She brought the joy and beauty of nature and those she loved to life on canvas. Patricia loved New England and all it provides as depicted in so many of her works of art.
Most important to her is family. With a very large family, she was always in touch and loved more than anything the time she spent with her daughters, grandchildren, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews around the country.
She traveled around the United States and was always looking for the next amazing photo with family or landscape to paint. She was so proud to say that she visited all of the contiguous states as love of this beautiful country is something she treasured.
Patricia was also an avid lover of all music. She had an eclectic collection of music from all genres and all generations and could always be found with her music on and sometimes dancing to it.
She is survived by her daughters, Robin David and her husband Douglas of Dartmouth and Kelly Ann Noble and her husband Randy of Orlando, FL; her sister Carol Buccella of Hingham; and her grandson, Andrew Villanueva.
She was the grandmother of the late Giovanni Villanueva and sister of the late Sandra Colvin.
Her visitation was held Wednesday Dec, 9, at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
