Some memories were made, and those who gave their lives fighting for America were remembered at the Dartmouth Memorial Day Parade Monday morning.
Thousands of people lined the streets of Padanaram to take in the parade, which featured several different groups in town.
"It was nice," said Dawn Laberge, who took in the parade with family members Connor and Peter. "It's always a nice parade."
The parade began at Apponagansett landing and traveled over the Padanaram Bridge, where the Ladies Auxiliary read a Bible verse.
The parade then traveled down Elm Street and stopped in front of the World War I monument near the Dartmouth police station.
Several Veterans' groups participated in the event, as did the Dartmouth High School, middle school, and elementary school bands.
"I was most impressed by the elementary school band," said Jeremiah Hernandez, spa coordinator at Salt: the Spa on Elm. "I thought they were especially great. A good time was had by all."
