A 26-year-old man was arrested on Friday, October 6, after detectives seized 200 grams Fentanyl from a Beechwood Drive home, along with Suboxone, scales, and packaging material.

Ryan Wood is charged with trafficking Fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute a "Class B" drug in a school zone, and possession with intent to distribute Suboxone, according to police.

A narcotics investigation, led by Dartmouth Police Detective Derek Sousa, allowed police to obtain the search warrant that led to the discovery. Dartmouth detectives were assisted by members of the Fairhaven Police Department Detective Division during the search.

"I am very proud of the efforts put forth by my detectives," said Dartmouth Acting Police Chief Brian Levesque. "Not only did they take $20,000 worth of a very dangerous drug off the street, but they also most likely saved numerous lives in the process of doing so."
