Race through reserves on Nov. 7

Oct 17, 2015

Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust is hosting a trail race and walk on Nov. 7.

The 4.1 mile course for runners combines a road race with trail racing. This course will send runners through farms, fields and forests while incorporating two of the trust’s properties at Slocum’s River Reserve and Parsons Reserve.

There will also be a 2 mile walk through Slocum’s River Reserve.

The run begins at 11 a.m. The walk begins at 11:15 a.m.

Proceeds from both courses will help the land trust protect and maintain land in Dartmouth.

The trust hopes to have long-sleeve shirts for all participants, but can only guarantee shirts for those who register prior to Oct. 24.

Visit dnrt.org to register.

Parking for the event – as well as the start and finish line – will be at the Slocum’s River Reserve’s northern most access point, which is located just south of 258 Horseback Road.

A map of the course is available here.
