Race in upcoming 5k to raise money for student veteran organization

Race in UMass Dartmouth’s third annual Run for Veterans 5k on Saturday, Nov. 9 to raise money for the university’s student veteran organization.

All proceeds from the race will support the UMass Dartmouth student veteran organization.

Registration is open until 12 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8 and can be made on the UMass website.

For current UMass students the race costs $10, for alumni, veterans and active duty military it costs $25, for the general public it costs $40 and for $15 for people under 18 years old.

Check-in begins at 8 a.m. at Cressy Field, located at 285 Old Westport Road and the race begins at 9 a.m.

Participants will receive an event shirt and mug and medals will be awarded to the top three runners in each age category. Snacks will also be provided after the race.
