The Dartmouth Department of Public Works will be undertaking roadwork construction on Reed Road from State Road to Lakeside Avenue starting Sept. 29 and continuing through Oct. 10, weather permitting.

The stretch of road affected reaches north of Route 6 almost to the I-195 ramps.

A release from the DPW notes that there will be steel plates in the roadway during the construction, which will take place from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday excluding holidays.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes. Detours will be posted as necessary.
