Almost a year after Town Meeting approved the funding for the renovations, the playground at Dartmouth Regional Park is back open.

Previous equipment at the playground was outdated, and did not comply with current playground standards. 

Unfortunately, the playground’s purple dinosaur will not be replaced. According to the town’s statement, it was “past its reasonable lifecycle,” and no replacements exist.

Half of the project’s funding came from Community Preservation funds, and half came from the town’s capital improvement plan. 

The park is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
