Religious literacy talk at UMass Dartmouth

On March 30 from noon to 1:30 p.m., Robert E. Pontbriand, Ph.D will be discussing the Roman Catholic Church and Pope Francis as part of the ongoing Religious Literacy series. The talk will be held in the Charlton College of Business room 115.
This lecture and its following discussion of Pope Francis’ encyclical “ Laudato Si" seeks to place the ideas of Pope Francis as expressed in this encyclical in the historical tradition of Catholic social thought in which it is embedded.
Pontbriand is the Director of Religious Studies at UMass Dartmouth and is a professor in the Department of History teaching courses on Intellectual History, Modern Europe, and Religious Studies.
