Select Board appoints two new police officers
Two new officers have been added to the Dartmouth Police Department’s ranks.
At a July 26 meeting, the Select Board unanimously approved appointing Trevor Gregoire and Nicholas Mancuso to the force.
Both began training at the Plymouth Police Academy in March and graduated on July 23, Chief Brian Levesque noted.
“They have now met all of the requirements to become full-time police officers in the state of Massachusetts,” he said.
Gregoire, a lifelong Dartmouth resident, holds an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Bristol Community College and is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree at Bridgewater State University.
He also works at Stop & Shop as an asset protection associate.
Mancuso, a resident since 2015, has worked as a dispatcher for the department for the past four years.
The newly appointed officer holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree.
“You’re entering a position that has been well-respected throughout the years,” Select Board Chair Shawn McDonald said. “I know you will have amazing support.”
