Seven local students receive Community Foundation scholarships
Seven students attending schools in Dartmouth have been awarded more than $34,000 in scholarships from the SouthCoast Community Foundation.
The students were received their scholarships at a ceremony at Buttonwood Park Zoo in New Bedford on Wednesday, May 25.
“Our annual scholarship reception brings together those who make this work so rewarding and empowering. The funders who make the scholarships possible, the volunteers that spend countless hours reviewing applications, the families that support student achievement, and most importantly, the students who are pursuing higher education,” Community Foundation President and CEO Leonard Lee said. “They are the future leaders of our community, and we are so pleased to support them on their journey.”
Dartmouth scholarship recipients include: Bishop Stang student Madeline Rivera Carranza; Dartmouth High students Ava Cafasso, Austin Muliro, Kyle daCosta, and Lindsey Bedard; and UMass Dartmouth students Patricia Nsubuga and Anne Jean.
