Southcoast Behavioral Health expands mental health services for pediatric patients
Southcoast Behavioral Health announced March 16 that its Faunce Corner Road facility will see the addition of 24 new beds to its child and adolescent wing.
The expansion of the wing is expected to be completed in early 2023. The wing currently has 24 beds.
“We are very pleased to expand our facility to help meet the growing behavioral health needs of our communities,” said Felicia Risick, Chief Executive Officer of Southcoast Behavioral Health. “With the addition of a pediatric service line, we can now serve patients through the lifespan, thus aiming to broadly extend healing throughout our communities.”
Southcoast Behavioral Health is a 144-bed psychiatric hospital run in a partnership between the not-for-profit Southcoast Health and specialty behavioral care provider Acadia Healthcare, which manages the facility’s day-to-day operations.
