Stargazing at UMass Dartmouth

Explore the universe with the Astronomical Society of Southern New England at UMass Dartmouth for a public astronomy viewing on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.
The school’s 16-inch telescope in the domed observatory will be available to use, as well as volunteer telescopes on the field.
Attendees will get the chance to look at the moon, planets and star clusters.
The event is weather dependent and will be cancelled for rain or an overcast night. Entry is free for adults and accompanied children.
Parking is available in Lot 17. The campus is located at 285 Old Westport Road. Turn into the campus on Old Westport Road, take the first right onto the Ring Road. Near the end of the first large field, the Dome will be visible on the right, and Parking Lot 17 on the left. Park only in the lot or along the road. Public parking on the field is prohibited.
