Born in New Bedford, he lived in Dartmouth most of his life.

In addition to his father, he is survived by an Uncle, James Whitehead and his wife Joanne of Acushnet; an Aunt, Judith Galligan of CT; and a friend, Sandra Holmes of Marion.

His funeral service was held Thursday, February 20, 2020 in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745. Burial followed in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
