Rockwell Amusements has a full carnival setup at the Dartmouth Mall, open 6-10 p.m. Unlimited ride wristbands are $25. The carnival also operates on June 8, 6-10 p.m.; June 9-10, 6-11 p.m.; and June 11, 1-6 p.m. For more information, visit rockwellamusements.com.

What are wildflowers anyway?
Learn about wildflowers at a lecture and walk by Jessica Cook, co-owner of Westport’s Quintessential Gardens. The talk at the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust’s 318 Chase Road headquarters will cover wildflowers that grow in the area. Enjoy a ladies' night on the water
The Lloyd Center for the Environment will run its first monthly women's canoe trip at its 430 Potomska Road property. Participants will canoe into the historic Slocum's River under a full moon. The cost is $25 for Lloyd Center members and $30 for non-members. For more information, visit lloydcenter.org.

Shop historical wares.
The Dartmouth Historical and Arts Society will host a yard sale fundraiser, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at its 1205 Russells Mills Road headquarters. Visitors can expect books and other such items for sale. For more information, call Kathy at (508) 993-7736.
Keep the kids safe.
Fire District No. 3 and Safe Kids Rhode Island will staff a car seat safety inspection station at the district's 140 Cross Road headquarters between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Certified technicians will help families make sure car seats are properly installed.
Rock out.
The Paskamansett Concert Series opens on June 10 with Louis Leeman and Jerilyn Karam-Kozak. Tickets are $15 for adults; $12 for kids, seniors, and college students; free for toddlers; or $35 for families. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Grange Hall, 1133 Fisher Road. A walk through Destruction Brook Woods in search of wildflowers tops off a two-day series of events on the subject (see June 8). Jessica Cook will guide participants through the forest in search of wildflowers covered in her June 8 presentation. Local historian Jim Costa will lead a Dartmouth Historical and Arts Society discussion on the hamlet of Cedar Dell Springs, 6:30 p.m. at the Russells Mills Schoolhouse, 1205 Russells Mills Road. The hamlet is located around Cedar Dell Pond.

Get neighborly.
The Coastal Neighbors Network will hold an informational night, 6:30 p.m. at the Southworth Library. The non-profit organization aims to help Dartmouth seniors “age in place” without needing to leave their homes.
