Become an informed voter.

The Dartmouth Rotary Club will host its annual Candidates Night at 7 p.m. at Dartmouth Town Hall. With several contested races on the April 4 ballot, the event provides residents the chance to better understand and connect with candidates.

Friday, March 17

Cheer on your favorite contestant.

Ten Dartmouth High students are vying for the title of Mr. Dartmouth. The competition starts at 7 p.m. at the high school. Tickets are $10.

Search for springtime birds.

Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary will lead a search for the American woodcock, which begins its courtship process around this time of year. The walk runs 5:45-7:15 p.m. at the sanctuary, located at 1280 Horseneck Road. The cost is $6 for members and $8 for non-members. Saturday, March 18

Observe live animals.

The Lloyd Center’s monthly Nature Discoveries drop-in program runs 9:30–10:30 a.m. at its 430 Potomska Road location. The price is $5 for members; $6 for non-members. The event is suited for children ages 2-6, but younger or older siblings are welcome. Nature Discoveries features live animal demonstrations, specimens to observe and touch, hikes, activities, and crafts. Take in some art.

Dartmouth High's Advanced Placement Photography class will display its work at the 1871 Schoolhouse, located at 1205 Russells Mills Road, for its second art show of the year. The two-day exhibit will run 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on March 18-19.
