There’s always a lot to do in Dartmouth. This week is full of holiday activities, including the annual holiday stroll, a holiday concert and a festive wreath fundraiser.

Thursday, Nov. 30

Ring around the wreath sale

Autumn Glen at Dartmouth, an assisted living facility in town , will host its Festival of Wreaths fundraiser from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. All of the proceeds go to the Dartmouth Friends of the Elderly. Autumn Glen is located at 239 Cross Road.

Friday, Dec. 1

Buoyed spirits

Kick off the holiday season with the annual Padanaram Holiday Stroll and buoy tree lighting. The festivities kick off at 4 p.m. and Santa will show his face around 4:30 p.m. The buoy tree lighting will start at 7 p.m.

Festive artistic flair

South Coast Artists will celebrate the holiday season with the 6th annual Holiday Arts Exhibit at the Dartmouth Cultural Center, starting Dec. 1. 

An official reception will kick off the exhibit on Dec. 1 from 5 to 8 p.m., during the Padanaram Holiday Stroll. Refreshments will be served at the center and many of the artists will be on hand to discuss their work.

Support Dartmouth artists

Join South Coast artists for the annual holiday artisan show on Friday, Dec. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The show will be at the Macomber House, 930 Main Road in Westport, and close to half of the artists come from Dartmouth.

Saturday, Dec. 2

Present shopping for a cause

Residents at Cedar Dell assisted living facility have made a variety of jewelry and knitted items, and will be having a sale Dec. 2 and Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s society and the Autism center.

Residents raised and donated $600 to the Alzheimer’s society at their last sale. 

Cedar Dell is located at 628 Old Westport Road. 

Little League toy drive

Dartmouth AAU Baseball will host a toy drive for new, unused toys from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at DYAA’s Crapo Field complex.

All toys from this drive will be donated to the Dartmouth Police Department to assist with their annual toy drive.

Come meet Santa, play some cornhole, take part in a 50/50 raffle, and enjoy some coffee or hot cocoa.

Sunday, Dec. 3

Tinsel at Town Hall

The Town of Dartmouth will start off the holiday season with the annual tree lighting from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

Festivities include raffles, crafts, games, treat bags, a photo station, a DJ, and refreshments. 

A very unexpected, special visitor may show up as well.

The event is sponsored by Bank 5 and Conquerors for Christ Church. 

Tuesday, Dec. 5

Get down with the Grange

The Dartmouth Grange will host a live musical performance presented by the Unlikely Strummers at Patrons Hall, 1133 Fisher Road, at 7:30 pm.
