Friday, July 2

Farmers’ Market offers local produce 

The Dartmouth Farmers’ Market will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 2 on the lawn at St. Mary’s Parish Center, 789 Dartmouth St. 

The market offers locally raised meats and eggs, locally grown produce and flowers and crafted food, handmade goods, crafts and art. Local musicians will perform.

Sunday, July 4

Celebrate the Fourth with picnic, concert 

A picnic will be held at 4:15 p.m. at the headquarters of Dartmouth Historical and Arts Society, 1205 Russells Mills Road. This will be followed by a traditional Dartmouth Community Band concert at 5 p.m. 

Wednesday, July 7 

Funk/rock band to perform

Funk Side Up, a rock/funk band, will perform from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 7 at Apponagansett Park, Gulf Road.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person at the gate, $4 in advance. Children younger than 12 are admitted free. A season pass is available for $30.

Advance ticket sales and season passes are available at the town Parks and Recreation Office. 

Wernick Farm walk

The Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust will host a walk at the Wernick Farm Reserve, 1 Albro Ave. from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Registration opens July 1. Sign up at dnrt.org or by calling 508-991-2289. 

Thursday, July 8 

Sunset stand-up paddling tour

A sunset stand-up paddling tour will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. by the Lloyd Center for the Environment, 430 Potomska Road. 

An Osprey Sea Kayak instructor will lead the program. Previous stand-up paddling experience is recommended. Fee is $55 for members, $65 for non-members. 

All tours include paddleboard, paddle and personal flotation device. Wear clothing and footwear that you don’t mind getting wet. Pre-register online. For more information, call Lloyd Center at 508-990-0505, ext. 10. Registration deadline is Monday, July 5.
