Canvas cruise
South Coasts Artists will be hosting a second weekend of open studio tours Aug. 17 and 18, with over a dozen Dartmouth artists featured.
Studios will be open for viewing from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Visit southcoastartists.org for a brochure of featured artists and a map of the tour.

Sweet treats
Enjoy a cold summer-time treat at Round the Bend Farm’s ice cream sundae fundraiser “Sundraiser” Aug. 17 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Tickets are on sale now for $12 for under 12 years old and $20 for adults.
In addition to a magic show and juggling, there will be live music, a silent auction, all of Round the Bend’s regular open farm day activities, such as farm tours, made-to-order lunches, and items for purchase at our market and more.

Go ham at the roast
Instead of putting out fires, firefighters will be starting one for the 15th annual Pig Roast Saturday, Aug. 17.
But not to worry, they aren’t hogging it.
The Paskmansett Engine Company and the firefighters of Dartmouth Fire District 3 invite the community to join in on the feast starting at 12 p.m. at fire station located at 140 Cross Road. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
Event tickets are $35 per person and children 10 and under are free. For tickets, call 508–994-6761.

Impermanence
The Dartmouth Cultural Center’s latest exhibit, “Permanent Impermanence Exhibition” with the National Association of Women Artists Massachusetts Chapter, will have its artist reception from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The gallery will be open for viewing Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Sept. 14.
