Get crafty
Join the Fiber Club this fall on the first Tuesday of every month, starting at 6 p.m. in the North Branch Library. 
Those ages 12 and older and of any experience level are welcome to come in with their projects to work on and show off, including crochet, embroidery, knitting and quilting.
The club will meet: Sept. 3, Oct. 1, Nov. 5 and Dec. 3.

Wednesday, Sept. 4

Restore the senses
Join the DNRT from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. to follow a trained guide at 19 Chase Road for a slow-paced and quiet wander in the Paskamansett Woods. The practice of Shinrin-yoku helps bring people back to their senses, according to the DNRT, and has been scientifically proven to increase well being, calm and restoration.

Wednesday, Sept. 11

A bird summer
Join the Paskamansett Bird Club for its first meeting of the year, with guest speaker Pamela Lowell, a club member, local author and water color artists. 
Lowell will present on her latest book, “My Summer with Ospreys,” which combines her observations and personal experiences as a volunteer for Mass Audubon the South Coast Osprey Nest Monitoring Project on the Westport River at Allen’s Pond.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at the Friends Meeting House, located at 594 Smith Neck Road.
