Friday, May 24

The Bucket is back
The Gulf Hill Dairy Ice Cream shop, located at Apponagansett Park, will open back up for business on Friday, May 24.
Pre-summer hours, weather permitting, are as follows:
Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and Memorial Day, 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Once school is out for the summer The Bucket will be open everyday until 9 p.m.

Saturday, May 25

Flag Elm Street Cemetery
It’s that time of year again. With the Memorial Day holiday and accompanying parade and festivities drawing near, the town’s Veteran Services Office is seeking volunteers to help reflag the Elm Street Cemetery. 
The flagging was postponed from Saturday, May 18 due to rain. It is set to begin at 10 a.m.

Monday, May 27

Memorial Day Parade
Memorial Day is May 27 and the town of Dartmouth will once again host its annual parade to honor those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
The parade will kick off at 9 a.m. at the town landing on Gulf Road and will proceed across the Padanaram Bridge and Causeway where the VFW Ladies Auxiliary will conduct the ceremonial wreath placement.
After that, the procession will turn left onto Elm Street and proceed to the Elm Street Cemetery for a ceremony.

Tuesday, May 28

Make a hummingbird feeder
Hummingbirds are back in Dartmouth and residents have began to set up their feeders so they can watch these birds.
Those who don’t have one or would like another, can join the Dartmouth Natural Resource Trust on Tuesday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the DNRT Center at Helfand Farm, which is located at 318 Chase Road, to build their own.
The DNRT will take recycled wine bottles, paint them and shape them into feeders.
All supplies will be included. The event costs $30 to $35 per person. Space limited and pre-registration required.

Saturday, June 1

Go looking for bobolinks
Join Dartmouth Natural Resource Trust Land Manager Linda Vanderveer for a stroll through Ocean View Farm, searching for bobolinks on Saturday, June 1 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Bobolinks are small, migratory songbirds with an adorable yellow head and conspicuous call.
No dogs are allowed on this walk.
