Three part 'Farm Food & Fermentation' series begins on Sept. 19

Sep 14, 2015

The first of a three-part series, “Farm Food & Fermentation,” kicks off on Sept. 19 at Round the Bend Farm in South Dartmouth.

From 9 to 11 a.m., participants will learn how to preserve vegetables, develop an understanding of the science of fermentation and learn the art of recipe creation. The class will include taste tests.

The cost for the seminar is $30 per person, or an $80 ticket for all three classes is available at the Marion Institute’s website. Space is limited.

The series continues on Oct. 17 with a seminar on brewing locally sourced live-culture sodas. On Nov. 14, the class will focus on making kefir.

Round the Bend Farm is located at 92 Allens Neck Road.
