Dartmouth’s Board of Health will hold a final informational meeting regarding the state’s proposed changes to its septic system regulations and the new Watershed Permit Regulations on Monday, Jan. 23 at 6 p.m.

The meeting will be held at the Dartmouth Middle School auditorium, located at 366 Slocum Road.

Under the possible changes, the state proposes that towns either apply for “watershed permits” or have septic system owners upgrade their tanks to ones using “best available nitrogen technology” in an effort to reduce pollution in waterways feeding into Buzzards Bay.

Public comment on the matter ends Jan. 30.
