Residential collection of solid waste and recycling will be delayed by one day next week due to the Columbus Day holiday on Monday, Oct. 10, the Department of Public Works announced.

The transfer station will be open during normal hours on Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

The leaf/compost drop off at 759 Russells Mills Road will be closed on Monday, Oct. 10.

The DPW office will also be closed on Monday.
