Tropical weather warning dropped for southern New England

Post-tropical cyclone Lee, formerly categorized as a hurricane, passed by Dartmouth and the rest of the South Coast from Friday evening into Saturday morning. As of 11:17 a.m. on Saturday, Sept 16, all tropical storm warning have been dropped by the National Weather Service for southern New England. 

Cape Cod and Islands can still expect wind gusts up to 35 miles per hour. A high surf warning is still in place the Massachusetts and Rhode Island coasts. 

Dartmouth fire districts and the Dartmouth Police Department had no issues to report. The Harbormaster’s Office reported “nothing more than a few small branches down on the road.”
