Two-car accident halts traffic on Tucker Road, injures two
Emergency personnel responded to a head-on collision involving a United States Postal Service truck and a convertible on Tucker Road at about 5:30 p.m. Friday evening.
The operator of the Postal Service vehicle, a 24-year-old woman, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with unspecified injuries, police said. The operator of the Toyota convertible, a 43-year-old man, was transported to St. Luke's Hospital. After further medical evaluation, he was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by med flight.
The accident occurred on a curving stretch of road in front of Friends Academy. Traffic was diverted from that part of Tucker Road shortly after the accident.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Dartmouth Police Department. No further details are available at this time.
