Two teens arrested for alleged AirPod theft

Dartmouth police arrested two teenagers on Saturday after they allegedly stole another youth’s AirPods in the Dollar General parking lot.

According to a press release from the police department, officers were called out at around 4:45 p.m. on March 28 to the Dollar General at 696 Dartmouth St. for an alleged armed robbery.

The purported victim told the officers that two boys on bikes stole his AirPods after one of them displayed a knife and firearm in the waistline of his pants.

Following a search of the area, both suspects were eventually identified with the assistance of their parents.

Police seized as evidence a BB gun matching the description of the gun used in the crime.

The boys — one from Dartmouth and one from New Bedford — were arrested and charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Both teens will be arraigned on a later date.
