UMass Dartmouth Observatory opens season with Jupiter viewing
The UMass Dartmouth Observatory and the Astronomical Society of Southern New England will host a night sky viewing session, during which Jupiter should be visible, at the campus Observatory on Saturday, May 7 at 8:30 p.m.
The event is open to the general public and is dependent upon weather conditions. If necessary, a cancellation announcement will be made at approximately 5 p.m. Visit www.assne.org or call 508-999-8715 for information.
The Observatory is located in the field to the right of the main entrance to UMass Dartmouth off Old Westport Road. Parking is available in designated spaces on the campus Ring Road or in lot 17. Admission is free. Children may attend if accompanied by an adult.
