UMass Dartmouth ranks high in U.S. schools for social mobility
The U.S. News & World Report 2021 College Rankings released this week place UMass Dartmouth in the top 100 schools nationwide for the upward social mobility of its students.
The social mobility ranking measures the size of the student population receiving Pell Grants and how well universities performed in graduating those individuals.
Among national universities, UMass Dartmouth was ranked #76 and #2 in Massachusetts.
The school was tied in the rankings with the University of Arizona and UC-Berkeley.
Overall, U.S. News ranked UMass Dartmouth #217 among national universities, making it the third highest ranked public university in Massachusetts.
“These rankings are a perfect example of the hard work of the faculty and staff at UMass Dartmouth and their commitment to student learning and success,” Acting Chancellor Mark Preble said. “These rankings also represent the ambitious drive of our students who use our University as the foundation for their future.”
