UMass Law Immigration Symposium live on Facebook today

Today’s UMass Law Immigration Symposium “Breaking Down the Wall” will be shown live at facebook.com/UMassLawReview.

The annual student-organized law review symposium will include a panel on sanctuary cities at 10 a.m. at the UMass School of Law, 333 Faunce Corner Rd., Dartmouth, MA 02747.

Panelists include Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson and Somerville Mayor Joseph Curatone. Sheriff Hodgson and Mayor Curatone will be joined by Newton Councilwoman Emily Norton and Massachusetts Immigration and Refugee Advocacy Coalition Federal Policy Director Sarand Sekhavat.

Former Congressman Barney Frank, whose archives are located at UMass Dartmouth, will be the keynote speaker for the symposium, and is scheduled to speak at 12:30 p.m.

9–10 a.m. Alumni panel

10–11:30 a.m. Sanctuary City Panel

11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Refugee Panel

12:30–1:15 p.m. Keynote: Former Congressman Barney Frank

1:15–1:30 p.m. Closing remarks be UMass Law Review staff
