Update: Couple airlifted from crash in good condition

Two people who were involved in a three-car accident Friday evening are in good condition as of June 22, according to a spokeswoman representing Rhode Island Hospital.

Doreen Cook and her husband, William Cook, of Rockland Street were airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital from Joseph DeMello Elementary around 6 p.m. on Friday, June 19, to treat their injuries.

The accident occurred on Elm Street near Prospect Street, according to Detective Kyle Costa of the Dartmouth Police.

The other two involved in the accident included a 19-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man, both Dartmouth residents. They were not transported to the hospital.

Costa said the police are not releasing additional details at this time. The crash remains under investigation by the Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit.
