A Lecture by David B. Jones on Sunday, February 24, at 2:30 PM will be presented at the Dartmouth Historic and Arts Society Headquarters in the Russells Mills Schoolhouse at 1205 Russells Mills Road in the village.

Postcard collector David B. Jones will demonstrate a visual walk down old Horseneck Beach, featuring a newly discovered collection of historic photographs by Clarence Williston, music teacher, photographer and Horseneck East Beach summer resident. Mr. Jones has conducted extensive research to reconstruct the pre-hurricane beach using old photos, postcards and maps. This program will provide an opportunity to view rarely seen images of East Beach and to rediscover the history of a community that was wiped out by the hurricane of 1938.
