Winning lotto ticket sold at Dartmouth Cumbies
A lucky lottery player is now six figures richer thanks to a scratch-off purchase at a Dartmouth gas station.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, the winning ticket from the “$1,000,000 Cash” game was sold at the Cumberland Farms located at 244 Russells Mills Road on Jan. 13.
The winnings amount to $650,000 before taxes. The winner has yet to be identified.
Prizes worth $50,000 and over, including the jackpot, can be collected from the Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters, which is located in Dorchester.
A jackpot winner has 60 days from the date of the drawing to choose between taking the money as a lump sum or annuity payments. If a jackpot payment isn’t confirmed within this timeframe, the state will default to annuity payments.
