Woman charged with assault and battery of police, EMS at the Moby Dick

One of two people revived with Narcan from a suspected drug overdose allegedly attacked her rescuers, according to police. 

Police responded to the Moby Dick Motel, 671 State Road, to assist EMS crews with a suspected overdose on September 1 of a male and female patron. While there, the female patron, Crystal Andrade, 35, homeless, allegedly became combative and assaulted several of the responding EMS personnel. While police officers attempted to restrain her after this assault, she bit two of the officers, according to police. 

After she was successfully restrained, Andrade was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital to be treated and evaluated.

No emergency personnel were seriously injured, but Andrade was arrested and charged with four counts of assault and battery on ambulance personnel, and two counts of assault and battery on a police officer.
