Zine exhibition opens at university library
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth will hold an opening reception for its new Z.archives exhibition on January 31, 6-7 p.m.
The exhibition, which officially opened on January 12, includes submissions of small, independent “zines” - self-published, small-circulation, handmade magazines or books that often cover unconventional topics.
After a submission period, submissions were received from across the country and around the world. Zines included in the exhibition are in a variety of sizes, shapes, and mediums and cover a wide range of subjects. Subjects include art critiques to sad football fans and everything in between.
The exhibition is on display now at the Claire T. Carney Library Archives and Special Collections, located on the university's main campus, 285 Old Westport Road.
