'The Unadoptables' show to hold auditions at Hawthorne Country Club
A web-based show devoted to finding "unadoptable" pets homes is looking for a host.
The concept of the "The Unadoptables" is to coordinate with pet shelters in Southeasetern Massachusetts and to have them send details on the least adoptable dogs, cats and other legally adoptable pets. The show will then have a team of experts (vets, trainers) work with the animals, help make them adoptable and provide future care once the pet is adopted.
Auditions are set for Saturday, May 23 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Hawthorne Country Club on 970 Tucker Road.
Potential hosts must love and work well with animals, especially dogs and cats. Owning a pet or past experience with animals is a plus. Males and females of all ages are welcome. Tryouts will be in an unscripted setting, and potential hosts must be able to articulate on camera.
There are currently eight episodes planned. Filming begins in June and ends in July. Weekend shoots are preferred.
