Pedestrian is struck, critically injured by car on Reed Road

On Sept. 12 at 12:20 a.m., emergency personnel and members of the Dartmouth Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the area of 491 Reed Road.

The pedestrian, Matthew Roderiques, 24, of Fall River, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. Police said he is currently in critical condition.

A 36-year-old woman from Fall River, who has not been identified by police at this time, was operating a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica when she struck Roderiques. Police said she is not being charged at this time.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit, Dartmouth detectives, and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.
