Roland F. Beauparland, 78

Roland F. Beauparland, 78, of Dartmouth, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Beverly A. Beauparland with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Francis and Rosella (Norton) Beauparland, he had resided in Dartmouth for 37 years.

Mr. Beauparland was a United States Air Force Veteran and recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal. While in high school, he was a member of R.O.T.C.

He had worked for Newbury TV, retiring in 1993. Most recently he worked for the Town of Dartmouth at Dartmouth High. Once retired, Roland spent his remaining years as "Papa" enjoying time with his seven grandchildren.

Roland was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, New England Patriots, and Boston Bruins as well as the several youth and Dartmouth high Athletics that his grandkids participated in.

He was also a former member of the Dartmouth School Music Association where he spent many years, a proud father, actively involved with his son and daughter in the Dartmouth High School marching band.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Matthew Beauparland and wife Kristin; a daughter, Lisa Ann Doyle and husband Michael all of Dartmouth; a brother, Robert Beauparland of Milwaukee, WI; and grandchildren, Matthew Beauparland Jr., Amber, Brady and Taylor Beauparland, Abbey, Emma and Eva Doyle. As well as a niece Susan, and nephews Robert Jr. and David.

His funeral will be held on Friday, Feb. 12 at 10:30 a.m. from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 783 Dartmouth St., Dartmouth. Visiting hours Thursday 5 to 7 p.m. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
