Dartmouth Grange announces 2016 Community Citizen Awards
On Tuesday, April 5, the public is invited to join the Dartmouth Grange in honoring two local individuals with its Annual Community Citizen Award. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Dartmouth Grange Patrons Hall located at 1133 Fisher Road.
The 2016 Community Citizen Award recipients were chosen for their dedication to strengthening our community by combating hunger and their commitment to expanding access to locally grown food. The two honorees are Susan Murray Wood, farmer and co-owner of Apponagansett Farm, and UMass Dartmouth senior Gabrielle Monteiro, the co-founder of the UMD Hunger Initiative.
The presentation of this award is a tradition associated with Grange Month, celebrated in April each year. The Dartmouth Grange presents this award to individuals or groups for their outstanding achievements in our community.
