Celebrate 45 years of the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust

The Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust (DNRT) will host a celebration of its 45th anniversary on Saturday, June 25, at Buzzards Bay Brewing in Westport from 1 to 8 p.m.

The event will feature food from the Fancheezical Food Truck, a selection of hand-crafted beers from Buzzards Bay Brewing, and live music from CarSon and The Oh Nos!

Over the past 45 years, DNRT has helped permanently protect more than 5,000 acres of wetlands, wildlife habitat, farmland, forests and scenic landscapes in Dartmouth. DNRT currently owns in excess of 1,500 acres of conservation land on over 50 reserves, and maintains more than 35 miles of hiking trails.

CarSon is an acoustic duo out of Westport, MA featuring the musical talents of Fernando Carreiro and Justin Sampson who love sharing their unique take on some cool tunes with their fans. The Oh Nos!, a plastic sporko band, were formed by Wayne and Rachel Cabral to pay tribute to the more unusual Beatle songs and the solo careers of John, Paul, George, and Ringo. The Oh Nos! feature Wayne Cabral on lead guitar and vocals; Joe Militello, a singer/ songwriter, on guitar, keyboard and vocals; Shelley Rego on bass and vocals; and Rachel Cabral on drums and fashion. Ian Motha, a singer/songwriter and member of the Anchors, is also a band member of The Oh Nos!

The event is open to the public. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be canceled. Buzzards Bay Brewing is located at 98 Horseneck Road, Westport.
