Dartmouth Police arrest New Bedford man at house party

Dartmouth Police were dispatched to 12 Carrollton Avenue on Sunday, July 10 to respond to a loud house party at approximately 2:30 a.m.
Several partygoers were asked to leave the residence. Twenty-three-year-old Alexander Andrade of 1471 Braley Road, New Bedford, became unruly and assaulted one of the police officers and resisted arrest, said Dartmouth Police Detective Kyle Costa.
As a result, Andrade was placed under arrest and charged with disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, said Costa.
