Dartmouth Police already are using the Narcan they began carrying last week.

On October 22 at approximately 8:00 p.m., Officer Jorge Silva successfully administered Narcan to a 25-year-old Dartmouth man on Anderson Way, said police. This marks the first administration of Narcan by the police since officers were first outfitted with it last week.

The male was then transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment, said police.
