Friday, November 18

Recover from the election.

Former Congressman Barney Frank will be at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Claire T. Carney Library at noon to answer post-election questions, including "What just happened?" and "What now?" The forum will be moderated by UMass Dartmouth Journalism Lecturer Caitlin O'Neil. All students, faculty, staff, and the public are invited. Admission is free. Park in Lots 13-14.

Saturday, November 19

Spend jingle-jangle at a bazaar.

Smith Mills Christian Congregational Church will host their annual Holiday Bazaar from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the church hall at 11 Anderson Way. Expect raffles, bake tables, jewelry, craft tables, cafe lunches, activities for the children, and Santa.

Put on your winter weight.

Saint George Greek Orthodox Church's Ladies Philoptochos Society is holding its annual Christmas Bazaar at 186 Cross Road from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on Saturday and 12-3 p.m. on Sunday. Expect chicken souvlaki, spanakopita, tiropita, gyros, and Greek salad for lunch. The bake sale will include baklava, koulourakia, kourambiedes, galatobouriko, and almond rolls.

Gobble at turkeys.

The Lloyd Center for the Environment, located at 430 Potomska Road, will be scouting for turkeys at a Turkey Trot, 10 a.m.–noon. The program costs $5 for members, and $7 for non-members. See a farm.

Round the Bend Farm will host an Open Farm Day from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at 92 Allen Neck Road. Non-GMO and grass-fed meat, seasonal veggies, honey, maple syrup and herbal teas will be up for sale. Tours will also be available. For more information, visit roundthebendfarm.org or call (508) 939 5089.

Learn what makes clocks tick.

The Dartmouth Historical & Arts Society will host a lecture on an early 19th century Simon Willard Shelf Clock Case at 6:30 p.m. at the Russells Mills Schoolhouse, located at 1205 Russells Mills Road.

Monday, November 21

Talk to the dead.

Medium Candace Dalton will be at Dartmouth High School from 7-9 p.m. for a fundraiser to support Dartmouth’s after-prom celebration. Tickets are $40. For more information or to purchase tickets, call Dartmouth Youth Advocate Jen Cabral at (508) 525-0255.
