Dartmouth is likely to get $1.2 million for road improvements and mobility assistance programs.

The state Senate and House of Representatives approved a one-year, $200 million road repair bill on April 21. With Governor Charlie Baker's approval, $1,194,360 of that will go to Dartmouth.

The Municipal Road Bill funding will aid public works projects and the mobility assistance programs for the elderly and disabled, intercity bus programming, and technical assistance for regional transit authorities.

"Much-needed funding can finally make its way to cities and towns so they can perform the necessary repairs on our vital infrastructure," said Senator Mark Montigny via press release.

Alongside Dartmouth, Acushnet could get $326,163; Fairhaven, $522,304; Mattapoisett, $229,161; and New Bedford, $2,111,149.
