Theresa Marie "Terry" (Boucher) Mello, 69, of Dartmouth passed away Sunday, July 2. She was the wife of Elliott P. Mello.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Claudia Marie (Boucher) Freire, she lived in New Bedford and Freetown before moving to Dartmouth.

Terry was formerly employed by Titleist Golf, where she worked her way up from a winder at Ball Plant 1 to Team Leader in the Finishing Side Ball Plant 2 until her retirement after 38 years of service.

She was a trustee of the Padanaram Acres Condo Association and a member of the Padanaram Acres Book Club. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and walking.

She is survived by her husband Elliott; her stepson, Paul Mello; her siblings, George Brown, Roland Brown, Alvin Brown, and Malvina Brown; her sister-in-law, Patricia Holubesko; her nieces and nephews, April Carr, who was her Godchild, Scott Brown, Shelly Brown, Robert Brown, and Daniel Brown; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 8 at 11 a.m. at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park Street in New Bedford. Her family will receive visitors from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
