Victor S. Morris, 69

Victor S. Morris, Jr., 69, of Dartmouth, passed away quietly in his home on July 5, 2017 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Leonor (Tavares) Morris.

Born in Acushnet, a son of the late Victor S. and Helen (Holmes) Morris, he lived most of his life in Dartmouth and was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish.

Morris served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later worked as a machine operator Swan Finishing and a news courier for the New Bedford Standard Times. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling and working on his yard. He especially enjoyed watching his grandson's baseball games and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Mark Morris and his wife Michelle of Fairhaven; a daughter, Paula Grieve and her husband Kevin of Cumberland, RI; three grandchildren, Matthew and Savanna Morris and John Grieve. He was the brother of the late Nancy Whitehead.
