John Perry Jr., 82, of South Dartmouth, passed away on November 4, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Natalie (Silva) Perry and the son of the late Mildred (Teachman) and John Perry.

John was born in South Dartmouth and lived in this area all his life. He worked as a truck driver for Yellow Bird Transportation for many years until his retirement. John was also a member of the Teamsters Local 59 and was also in the National Guard.

He is survived by four children, Patricia Bettencourt, Karen Cunnif and her husband Joey, John Perry and his wife Deb, and Debbie Mello and her husband Dennis; three siblings, Bob Perry and his wife Diane Perry, Norma Fernandes, and the late Frank Perry and his wife Barbara; grandchildren Stevie Bettencourt, Holly Maciel, Renae Desrosiers, Dennis Mello, John Perry, Jason Perry, Ryan Cunniff, and Shaun Cunniff; great grandchildren Kelsey Maciel, Avah Mello, and Quinn Perry; along with many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Lili.

A memorial service will take place at St Mary’s Church in Dartmouth at a later date.
