Council on Aging December events

The Dartmouth Council on Aging has announced its list of December programming and events.

The next meetings of the center’s Memory Cafe will be on December 14 and December 28, 2-4 p.m. The Memory Cafe is intended for those dealing with memory loss and those who help care for them.

Advance reservations to the Memory Cafe are required; call the Center to reserve seats.

A new Veterans Corner will meet for the first time on December 6, 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Hosted by Dartmouth Veterans Agent Roy Oliveira, the Veterans Corner will include casual conversation with fellow veterans and a continental breakfast.

Regular meetings of the Veterans Corner will be held on the first Wednesday of every month at the same time. Walk-ins are welcome.

The center will host a series of historical family research workshops for those wishing to learn more about genealogy. Workshops will be held on December 6 and 20 at 10 a.m. Walk-ins are welcome.

The “Friday Flick” of the month is Miracle on 34th Street. Showings will be held on December 8 at 12:30 p.m.

The Dartmouth High School A Capella group will perform at the center on December 8 from 10:35 to 10:55 a.m.

A diabetic shoe clinic will be held on December 14 at 11 a.m. Walk-ins are welcome.

The center will throw its holiday party on December 15 at 12 p.m. Sign-ups are required.
